Description
Explore the history of Pipe Spring National Monument. In the 19th century people of the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known as Mormons, and the United States government enountered one another in this place. The monument was proclaimed in 1923 as one of the very earliest National Park sites set aside for its cultural and historic value. [This video] explores people in conflict trying to understand their past and trying to understand each other.
